More stories from Kate Wilson
Start of November everyone is already thinking and planning for one thing. Thanksgiving and then Black Friday. With all of the outstanding deals and crowds, it’s important to have a plan in mind and some tricks to make sure you are ready for your shopping. Here are tips for the most important Friday of the year.
1.Start early.
Despite the famous name Black Friday, sales start long before black Friday. Start searching the places that you are wanting to shop at. Some stores start before and go until after black Friday.
2. Don’t forget online shopping.
If you don’t want to wait in the long lines, skip them and stay at home with your mouse ready to buy the items you are wanting. Many online stores have special deals that are not in stores and are easier to get quickly.
3. Have the items you want in mind.
If you are eager to get a good deal, then having a clear view of exactly what you want will make you faster and more efficient.
4. Do your research!
Going along with having a plan, it’s important and essential for you to know what time the doors open for each different stores, what their doorbusters are, etc.
5. Shop with a friend.
Shopping is twice as fun when you are with someone. Not only is it fun, but it can come in handy when you have more than one item on your list and you need to be in two places at once to get both of the items you are wanting. The faster you get what’s on your list, the faster you can move on to the next store and can move on down your list.
6. Use shopping bags instead of a cart.
Maneuvering carts through crowds of people is too difficult and will cost you valuable time.
7. Shop Late.
If doorbusters aren’t on your list for must-haves, go shopping once the chaos has died down. This way you avoid crowds, pressure, and having to race to get items first.
8. Remember not everything is a deal.
Just because it’s black Friday, that doesn’t mean that every single thing in the store will be on sale. If you are going for an item that’s not on sale, wait until it does.
9. Compare prices.
Many stores sell the same stuff but not at the same price. Deals vary from store to store and prices can vary as well. Make sure you are comparing items that you want at each store, so that you can get the best deal.
10. Don’t forget about Cyber Monday!
With all of these deals in stores, there are many deals online that have given Black Friday a run for their money. Check If you are going to miss out on one of the two, don’t worry, you have both!
