HOSA: a club of medical exploration

More stories from Grayce Anderson

Health Occupations Students of America, or HOSA, is a club here at Davis High that helps students to explore their interest in the medical field. As a member, you can participate in blood drives, service projects, social gatherings, and academic enhancement. Mr. Fahrenbach is the club advisor, and summarizes its purpose.

The purpose of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America’s) is to have a CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students interested in health and medical professions,” he says. “The club’s goal is to provide Leadership, Academic, Service, Social, and Professional opportunities for students to enhance their experience in their exploration and pursuit of their academic and career goals.”

Not only does it help increase your knowledge on the subject, but involvement in this club is highly regarded on college applications. Here is the student presidency:

President: Kristen Ward

Vice President: Shareef Rehman

President Elect: Mikayla Jensen

There will be a social on October 11th, and a meeting every second Tuesday of the month at 12:15pm in Mr. Fahrenbach’s room (rm. 2506). Membership in the club is a fee of $20.00. If you are interested, this a great way to become involved at Davis!
