With Softball being a major sport at Davis High School along with Baseball, similarities and differences can be seen in both. While most of these similarities are big, the sports almost remain the same.

“I think softball players work just as hard as baseball players do,” softball player Maggie Miller said. “The same amount of work is put into both sports.”

Some of the major differences between softball and baseball include base paths, field size, bats, and the ball. With these differences evident in both sports, many argue whether these changes affect the eligibility of the sport.

“There are a lot of differences between softball and baseball.” baseball player Sam Parrish said. “Although I think the essence of both sports still remains.”
