As times change here at Davis so does the bell. As of October 9, 2017 Davis has added a second bell that tells students that they have one minute until the tardy bell rings. While it is helpful not everyone is happy about it.

“The new bell is very annoying and unessential,” Junior Eogan Turnbaugh said.

And a lot of people also hate it. In fact there was a petition going around to try and get rid of the new bell. But many ask why in the world would someone add a new bell to the schedule? One of the sources, Mr.Harris has said why we have a new bell..

“We just thought it would help people get to class better and faster,” Vice Principal Harris said.

But when you’re on the other side of the school and the new bell rings the new bell really only just makes people anxious. But to some it does help telling them to wrap up whatever they’re doing and get ready to go. But to some one minute doesn’t seem long enough.

“I don’t care about one minute,” Junior Tanner Bentley said.

Nobody knows how long this will last but all that is known is that there’s a new bell and it looks like it will be around for a while.
