Teachers and students impacted by blood cancers
April 29, 2015
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Fundraiser is going on through May 1st. This is a fundraiser to help families in need of money to pay for the bills that come with cancer treatments. To help encourage students to donate to this cause, the faculty has put together some interesting incentives:
Ms. Meade will stop drinking Diet Coke for one week for every $2,000 we earn.
Mr. Hendricks will stop drinking Diet Coke for one month if his band kids will donate $2,000.
The teachers in the 2500 hall will make pancakes for all their students if the hall collects $2,500 in donations.
Mr. Henriod will do a handstand and let students take pictures when $5,000 has been donated.
Mrs. Laub will get all the teachers to do punk/crazy hair if we reach $8,000.
Mr. Arquette will dress up as Mrs. Doubtfire if we raise $10,000.
Mr. Sanders will shave his head if we earn $12,000.
Mr. Williams will also shave his head and eat a goldfish if we raise $15,000.
Mr. Firmage will color his hair and goatee orange if we raise $20,000.
Mrs. Christensen and Ms. Harward (librarian) shave their heads if we reach $25,000 by May 1st.
Teachers are also giving other incentives in their individual classes as we try to reach our goal of $25,000.
This fundraiser is an annual event, but this is the first year the school has really gotten into the spirit and made incentives to help the students get into the spirit of donating too.
