Leukemia and Lymphoma fundraiser
March 27, 2015
Right after spring break, Davis is helping contribute to the Leukemia and Lymphoma fundraiser. Our school is making it a goal to remain as the biggest contributor to Leukemia and Lymphoma society in the Western United States. From www.schoolandyouth.org, we can see that last year we made $15,234.90 for the society, and this year we are striving to beat our last donation by making $25,000 dollars by May 1st.
According to www.lls.org, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a Society whose mission and purpose is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, Myeloma, and to help patients improve. LLS are the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. Their funds provide research, information and support services.
An article named Davis High Trios from the davis enterprise reveals that. Last year three students from Davis, Christopher (C.K.) Hicks and Brendan MacDonald and Brett Bloomfield went to around 6 different events in efforts to raise around 50,000 for the organization. The three Davis students went above and beyond to raise money. Imagine what the whole school could do with the same amount of passion.
