After the initial Battle of the Bands performance on March 4th, the best groups from the school go to play at the district level.

“It’s so fun, because you’re up there doing what you love: playing music; and everyone’s having a good time,” Chase Jensen, senior, said. “There’s not much that’s better.”

Preparation for the battle can go fast or slow, depending on if the bands decide to make a cover or their own compositions. Either way, Jensen said that the experience of performing in front of the student body is “indescribable.”

“It’s because all these people are coming out to see what you love to do,” Jensen said. “It’s a really good feeling.”
