Interstellar- Christopher Nolan’s newest hit

Jake Feigleson, Reporter

Christopher Nolan has done it again. His new movie, Interstellar, premiered in theaters all over the U.S. on November 7, 2014. It has been a huge success, receiving a 9.0/10.0 rating on IMDB and also 74% of people liked it on Rotten Tomatoes. The film has been the center of discussion since it hit theaters.

I personally agree with America and would say that this film will go down as one of the greats. Christopher Nolan has such a unique, irreplaceable style in which he creates his movies with. From the time I walked into the movie theater to the time that I walked out, I was sucked into a different world.

Cooper, an ex-pilot and now a farmer, and his daughter, Murph, stumble upon a secret hideout which turns out to be where NASA has set up their undercover headquarters. Donald, the head of NASA, asks Cooper to pilot a space shuttle to find a new, inhabitable planet for the human race to live on. Earth has deteriorated and is becoming more and more uninhabitable so Cooper and his team must go out to find a new home. Anything beyond this point in the movie is a spoiler so I will leave it to the viewer to see what happens.

I found this movie to be even more mind-blowing and intriguing than Christopher Nolan’s previous film, Inception. Interstellar has an unreal amount of twists and turns in it. At moments where I thought the movie was going to get boring, the plot would turn again and I would be sucked right back in. Ever since I saw the movie this previous weekend, I have been replaying bits and pieces of it in my mind over and over. I still don’t completely understand it, so I am planning on watching it again. If you haven’t seen this movie, I would highly recommend going and seeing it.
