Key Club raises money for Operation Smile by selling Valentines
Couples around the school scramble to make their significant other feel special.
The selling of valentines for an annual fundraiser hosted by Key Club and Operation Smile started Monday February 3. Students are encouraged to “purchase a Valentine to your Valentine,” as told by the Davis High School website.
“I think that some students think [buying a valentine] is a good way to show their interest in a fellow student,” said Ashley Taylor, a senior at Davis.
Taylor also commented that when a student receives a valentine at the school, they can carry it around throughout the day and feel appreciated.
Davis students can purchase a valentine and have it sent to anyone they want. Key Club uses the money from students’ purchases to help people in need.
