Homecoming queen voting will take place online this year, at MyDSD. Students can easily access this while they check their grades, on the home tab. Voting for homecoming nominations took place in students’ English classes. Six students have been chosen for Homecoming queen and voting will be available after the Homecoming assembly on Wednesday, the 25th.

        This way of voting will apply to all student based elections in the future, including SBOs, JCOs, and Prom royalty. According to T Meade, math teacher, this system will be faster for counting votes, will reduce classroom interruptions, and will not be compulsory for students. Meade stated that her only concern is that “campaigning” may start, with girls giving reasons why they should be voted for. Meade expressed little worry over this issue, and does not expect it to occur. Good luck to all those running for Homecoming royalty.
