Introduction
I know we’ve all been in a class bored not knowing what to do, so today I’m going to give you ideas on some games you can play. If you start playing these and get caught, the idea did not come from me. Also, I “totally” don’t play these during class.
Block Blast!
I think we have all heard of Block Blast, but this game has to be one of the best to play in class. It’s not one of those games where you lose if you have to look away or stop. It is satisfying and feels rewarding while playing it. It’s easy to understand and a basic concept of placing different shaped blocks and clearing the puzzle when a row or column is filled. The only obstacle is being able to clear blocks without filling all the available space. One of the best things about it is that no WIFI or internet connection is needed to play. The only downside is after you lose an ad will come up but that’s it.
Watermelon Merge Game
Although the version that is most popular is not available on the App Store anymore, any variation of a watermelon/fruit merging game is a great game to play while bored. They are again games you can play and take a break from if needed without losing progress or the game. Some don’t require WIFI, and it is a relaxing game to play.
Papa’s Games
Any of the Papa’s games like Papa’s Pizzeria or Freezeria are super fun to play in class. You get to run your own food business, serve customers, and watch your restaurant flourish. There’s also so many of them that you can choose from. There’s lots of customization options and the progression you can make is rewarding. Something that could bug some people are the repetitive tasks, fast paced gameplay, and the speed and complexity increase as you progress through the game.
Subway Surfers
This game is simple to learn and challenging. It’s an endless running game where you can collect items and avoid obstacles. The game is an enjoyable way to pass time. The downsides to Subway Surfers are the ads, focus it takes, and repetitive nature of the game. However, this game has been popular ever since it was released and is still played to this day almost 13 years later. If you get tired of Subway Surfers another endless runner game is Temple Run which I think is underrated, it has a similar concept, but it includes different elements.
2048
This is one of those games you can play both on your phone and laptop. You have to move numbered tiles with others that match and then they merge to create a number that is double the amount. Your goal is to get to the number 2048 without filling all of the squares in the 4×4 grid. It’s fun to play and makes you think about what you’re doing. It takes a long time, and it steals your attention.
Chess
This is self-explanatory, it’s just chess but, on your phone or laptop. There are many benefits to chess it enhances memory, boosts creativity, helps you with problem-solving, etc. It is also something you can play alone or with friends. It’s a classic and strategic game.
Wordle
Wordle is a game from The New York Times where each day you have 6 attempts to guess a 5-letter word. There are colored tiles that help you by telling you if that letter is in the word and if it’s in the right place. It’s fun to compare your results with friends and helps you think.
8 Ball Pool
8 Ball Pool is a game where you have to pocket all your balls either striped or solid before your opponent and then make the 8 ball. There’s more to the game but that’s just a simple description. It’s fun to make trick shots and compete with friends. It’s a game that is either a single player or with two players.
Conclusion
Here’s some fun games to play in class. I hope you found one that you like!
