Gold vs. Silver, which is better? Well, in a competitive mindset, I would pick gold aka 1st place. You asked me which one is better with winter. Gold and Silver are colors that aren’t usually in everyday things like clothing, advertisements, house colors, etc. I like to think of them as decoration colors. Gold and silver are also most seen and known as jewelry colors. People always debate about what color is better for jewelry. Some say that one is typically better than the other, or also it depends on the color of your skin tone. So, which one is better. I think that they both have their ups and downs for certain ideas and people.
First, for gold, I would say that it wins the category for the seasons of Spring and Autumn. The gold goes well with the fall leaves with orange, red, yellow, and brown colors. It well complements the tones of warmer colors of the season and the weather outside. I feel as when I think of the months of September, October, and November, I see the color gold. It also goes amazing with spring, because the snow starts to melt away after the harsh snowy winter, and the beautiful colorful, freshly grown flowers appear. The gold ties in with the new colors as the sun starts to shine more and radiate beams of sunlight into the world. It is a reminder of the warmth of the season that is with us. Gold earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. work with outfits in these seasons. It also makes the new colors pop. I think that gold coloring and jewelry work better for people with darker-toned skin and more of a warmer undertone. The color gold works with the holidays during this time too. During Halloween and the weakening of the coldness and breeze, gold appears in warm house decorations, to give a warm tone to the holiday. Gold also works for spring with easter, it works with the candy and golden easter eggs. Gold tends to pear with the weakening new colors into the new season to foreshadow what’s coming.
Then there is silver. Silver works amazingly for the seasons of Winter, and Summer. Most people I think would say that gold is better in the summer than in winter. I would say that gold would work in summer, but for me, silver looks better. I think when everyone has a little bit of a tan from the heat of summer the silver jewelry adds a little pop and is usually seen better. I feel that silver looks better on people with light skin tones and more fair skin because the silver won’t wash them out as much as the gold would. I think that everyone looks good in silver, but gold can be harsher to some people’s complexions and silver can be added. I feel as if it looks good in winter, due to the fact of holiday decor. The silver reminds me of Christmas and snow and the happiness of the season. I feel as if summer is also sunny and bright and golden, and a pop of silver never hurt to add a pop.
Overall, I feel as if people will always have a favorite one over the other. I feel as if there is no
right or wrong answer and that both gold and silver look good on everyone during every season and the colors work well for decor during the holidays. I think that the jewelry and the tone on the people make it better when the light contrast is switched. I think that anyone can look good in both gold and silver jewelry and can do whatever they please. I think these 2 colors are so important and show how they can be holiday and décor colors. Even though they aren’t everyday colors they are always around us.
