Midday Movie Club
Have you ever sat alone at lunch with nothing to do? If you answered yes,
Midday Movie Club (MMC) or as known by the members as bad movie club may
be for you. Every lunch in room 2413 the MMC plays different movies from
Netflix, Hulu, and most notably Disney+. So far this year the club has played well-
known titles like Shrek and Moana. Currently the MMC is in the October/
Halloween spirit and is wrapping up the Halloweentown series which they will
follow up with Nightmare Before Christmas that is scheduled to finish on
Halloween.

BAD MOVIE CLUB?
Advised by physics teacher Mr. G, the MMC is a club made to bring
students together to make friends and critique bad movies. President of the club
Josh Wood stated that “At the end of each school year the club puts every movie
that they watched that year in a Bad Movie tear list. The tear list focuses on plots,
film quality, predictability, and overall reaction of the film.” Whether you come
for one day or stay for the year, the MMC wants you to come and share your
input on the film of the day. For the first time as an official club, the MMC has
started a quote book that is held and updated daily by club secretary Corbin
Forsythe.

Year to Date Films watched
So far this year the Club has watched 13 films with an episode of Bluey
following each one too cleanse the viewing pallet prior to starting the next movie.
Starting with Buffalo Dreams, (Disney channel original movie), on the first day of
school the MMC followed that up with Going to the Matt, Even Steven’s movie,
Full Court Miracle, Jumping Ship, and Moana. The MMC then went on a trip to
Netflix leaving behind Disney+ for the first time of the year where they watched
the Dreamworks world of Shrek, Shrek 2, and the new Puss in Boots the Last
Wish. Following the journey to Netflix they returned to the world of Disney where
they started the current series of movies that they are on beginning with the
original Halloween Town, followed by Halloween Town 2, and Halloween Town
High. Scheduled to finish the final movie of the series Return to Halloween Town,
the Midday Movie club invites you to come in and see what the next movie is. If
you would like to stop by or just see what the film of the day is the MMC proudly
presents the show that they are playing for the day on their digital sign right
outside the door of room 2314.
