Halloween Ends should have ended years ago.

David Gordon Green’s newest movie, Halloween Ends, which released on October 14, 2022, has gotten a lot of backlash with top critics and viewers who were so excited to see this final showdown between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode, but fans were merely disappointed.
Halloween Ends finishes off the slashing and killing of the Michael Myers trilogy. The first movie ‘Halloween’ airing in October of 2018 did so well that Green decided to make a second movie ‘Halloween Kills’ which aired in October of just last year.
David, thinking that the world needed another movie to add on to the never-ending life of Michael Myers tried for this third and final of the trilogy ‘Halloween Ends.’ Critics say it should have never been created. “So dreary is this latest go-round that the film’s title resonates less an a guarantee than as a cruel taunt.”
“It’s time Myers and his moldy old mask were laid to rest. Let’s hope nobody decides to disinter him yet again” says top movie critic from rotten tomatoes, Wendy Ide.
The movie takes place four years after Laurie Strode, main character played by Jamie Lee Curtis, last saw Michael, Laurie is living with her granddaughter and trying to finish her memoir, No one has seen Michael since, and Laurie finally decides to liberate herself from rage and fear and embrace life.
However, when a young man stands accused of murdering a boy that he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that forces Laurie to confront the evil she can’t control.
At first glance fans were excited to see the clash between Laurie Strode and her biggest rival Michael Myers but it ultimately turned into a huge let down. “For the most part, Halloween Ends is an unsatisfying closing chapter for this continuity. In trying to grapple with the horror beneath Michael Myers’ mask, it gets lost up in its own abyss.” Says top Critic Ben Travis
Taking everything into consideration both fans and critics are happy that the slashing and killing of Michael Myers is finally over, now we can only hope that it stays that way for good.
