Football star, Alema Max Tupuola, gets an impressive offer
On Monday, February 28, Alema Tupuola got offered a scholarship to play football for the Navy. This is an incredible opportunity, and it is evidence of Alema’s incredible talent.
“He’s been talking about Navy for a while,” says his teammate Will Ferrin, “I know Navy has a 9% acceptance rate, so it’s pretty amazing that he got an offer for football.”
Alema has been offered a variety of scholarships from places such as Weber and Idaho, but it is a safe bet that he will be accepting this one.
Alema was a linebacker for the Davis High Football team, where he demonstrated his immense talent, hard work, and love for the game.
(For those of you who don’t know, linebackers are often regarded the most important defensive position, so it is even more impressive that Alema can fulfill this role with such expertise.)
Unfortunately, he broke his leg and couldn’t play for a large portion of this last football season. Fortunately, he obviously made an impression during the time that he did.
Alema met with Coaches Ken Niumatalolo and Joe DuPaix recently. He seems excited about how the deal will go.
Despite this amazing achievement, Alema remains humble and offers advice to other people seeking similar opportunities.
“Don’t give up, work hard, keep doing things when you think no one is watching.”
With such an accomplishment, Alema is boosting the prestige of the entire school. Don’t be surprised when you see the name Alema Max Tupuola on ESPN in five to ten years.
Way to go, Alema!
